Hypnosis is a completely natural, pleasant and harmless state. How many times have you been "in your own little world", distracted by something momentarily or simply daydreaming? How many times have you done something automatically while thinking about something else completely, (like driving, eating, or walking for example)? These were instances of natural trance.
In stage hypnosis, the "hypnotist" picks people who are already very suggestable (and this would be true for them even without any hypnosis!). Obviously if they volunteer at a stage show, they are already up for the fun of it and have that performer aspect somewhere in their personality. And out of all of the audience these few are the only ones kept on stage by the "hypnotist".This is because, the truth is, in hypnosis you are fully in control at all times and will only do or say things that you choose or agree to do or say.
Is analytical therapy and is used to discover the original cause of psychological problems. Combining hypnosis with psychotherapy, we can achieve rapid results in a few weeks, usually 5 to 10 sessions, depending on the severity of the symptoms.
I specialise in the treatment of; Anxiety, Depression, Panic Attacks, Phobias, IBS, Insomnia, Emotional Traumas, Bereavement, using Hypno-Analysis, this combines psychotherapy and hypnosis.
Analytical therapy can be used to treat many other disorders not mentioned above. Most people don’t realise that the majority of their illnesses have a non-physical cause. These illnesses can be removed without the use of drugs. Treating only the symptoms will never lead to a cure.
The reason why hypno-analysis can help with all of these conditions is because these conditions are only symptoms of an underlying anxiety, such as a buried trauma, emotion, shock, bereavement etc, which was not expressed at the time.
There is no reason why you need to put up with these problems, providing you are prepared to devote some time and effort to the therapy.
Is suggestion therapy, in this treatment the therapist will relax the person into a nice state of hypnosis then make positive suggestions to their sub-conscious mind. This will desensitise the mind in relation to their particular problem. It is ideally suited for treating the simpler problems such as smoking, nail biting, pre-test nerves, slimming, relaxation, stress and confidence boosting etc.If the therapist attempts to stop a person smoking or reduce their weight or drinking and that person is suffering with anxiety or depression, then it will not work. The person will continue to smoke or gain weight. The reason for this is that smoking, eating and drinking are oral satisfactions, we turn to them when we are suffering with depression or anxiety. The only way to succeed is to treat their depression or anxiety first, then stop them smoking or eating too much. Then it will work.Simple symptoms as mentioned above usually take one session of approximately one hour to complete, when dealing with weight loss it can take up to three sessions to complete,Hypnosis is extremely effective and utilises the part of the brain that is normally unused, you will feel relaxed, and be in full control at all times, the therapist will not be able to make you do anything you are unhappy with..

Frequently asked questions
Q: Are drugs or tablets used?
Q: Will I be aware of what is happening?
A: Yes, the predominant feeling of most people is “it didn’t work for me, I never went under, I was only relaxed”. You too, will just feel really relaxed.
Q: Are there some people who cannot be hypnotised?
A: No, everyone can be hypnotised unless they suffer from a mental health illness or if too much alcohol or street drugs have been taken
Q: Could I be influenced to do anything against my will?
A: No, in fact you would be shocked out of the hypnotic state immediately any such action was suggested to you
Q: So I am not asleep then?
A: No, you are simply extremely relaxed. This is why the technique is called “Conscious Hypnosis”
Q: How many visits will I need?
Smokers, nail biting, exam nerves need only one session. Weight loss 1 – 3 sessions. The more deep rooted nervous disorders need Analytical rather than suggestion therapy, usually between 6 – 10 sessions.
Can people with no nervous disorders be psychoanalysed?
A: Yes. Not only can be, but should be, for an insight into yourself, there is no equal.
